Hi everyone,

I've just started working on kitchen benchtops, excellent 50mm slabs of hardwood from Mal (thx!).

I've looked at quite a few posts here, which seem to indicate either Danish Oil, Polyurethane, or maybe expoxy.

Curently the timber's a distinct red/pink colour, which I do like. However, I'd like to darken it a bit, and am unsure of a colour/finishes to use.

Is there anyone in Hobart who has a couple different stains / finishes that they'd mind applying in a very small area?
