Sorry about the fire Al, but glad to hear not too much damage. I have had experience with shed fires
Whilst here in Melbourne my mother has had me busy on the odd job or twenty. One of those was to remove an old dead red bottle-brush tree. Not that big, but it had a few branches coming from the bottom up to 75mm dia. Sure enough when I dug around it at the base, there was a 400mm dia x 150mm thick odd root ball . There is enough room in my suitcase for the root ball, sorry guys, but I'll bring the branches to the BBQ. More suited for the turners for pens and perhaps a pepper grinder, but like any pen turner, I hate seeing even small braches of good timber going to the tip.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

How many people are you expecting Al? (Including me, I know I just scrape in to the people category).

Thanks for hosting again Al! It was good to meet everyone there, hopefully Dai Sensei now knows most of the MLB mob. We raised a glass to Auld Bassoon too.
