Hi guys
Well, I picked up the MDF, I had Mitre10 slice it up into 180mm x 1200 lengths for me, I do not think much of thier cutting, lucky its only a frame and not for a bookcase etc.
Knocked up all the frames, glued on an alimimium look laminate, popped in place, levelled up etc. and I have 1/2 the cabinets installed.
Took a little longer as one lot of cupboards needed holes etc for wiring - dishwasher / oven / hotplate / cut off switch and I have installed the cabinets with the fancy carousel thingys so I needed to install them to check there would be no problems with wiring. All the others are straight install yipee ! and I have so many IKEA boxes it takes time to find all the ones I need.
I must admit (I am learning all the time) that the electrician could have organised the power better, I have wiring running through a 1200 long cabinet into the oven cabinet, if he had put it further down the wall I could have run it throught the base frame. Also, one of the wall switches is so crooked and I cannot get it out to straighten it up, Hubby couldn't either.
I ran out of time forgot the photos, I will try for sunday.
Have a good weekend.
Celeste
