removing kitchen tap
its probably a dumb simple question
how do i remove the spout from the kitchen tap ?
its an old 70s house with the two taps and the spout coming out of a tiled wall over the sink. we have a tiler coming in to retile wall,so i'm removing old tiles (carefully) but need to get out the ones around taps and spout.
I assumed it just screws on but i cant budge it and i dont want to force it and break something (its a bad habit i have )

Do you want to be able to replace it, or are you buying new taps?
If the former, you can use a pair of foot prints or multi grips to grasp the base of the spout where it meets the wall and turn it anti-clockwise.
If the latter, you can try doing the same with a bit of old inner tube over each of the jaws of whatever you use.
