Now don't get me wrong here..... I don't mind them spending money in the area... I just don't like having to line up behind them.

I agree that Dunk Island is worth visiting, but not from Port Douglas.

Note to file: "Mexicans" is a generic term used in Far North Queensland to describe anyone living south of Babinda.

    Close note.

    Hartnetts crocodile farm.
Quicksilver reef tour to Agincourt reef. Pick a good day.
The River Train mangrove tour in Daintree.
The chair lift to Kuranda. I don't think the train is running yet. This is probably the best way to see rainforest.

    Highly reccommend all the above.

I don't want to look like a tourist.

I'm taking some cocnut oil, will shave my back, put on a sarong & thongs, not shower for 2 weeks before we go, buy a pink T shirt, stick an ear ring through my nose, have plenty of bum crack showing, queue up at the dole office on Thursady morning, and I'll look like I've been living there for years.

I can't see why that would be.

Brisbane to Melbourne 1,684.42 km 18 hours 21 mins
Brisbane to Babinba 1,648.41 km 18 hours 5 mins
Babinda to Bamaga 980.28 km 13 hours 19 min

PS. If you don't know where Babinda, Bamaga, &/or Brisbane are.... consider yourself Mexicano.

A sarong & thongs is wrong.... one or the other but not both.
How long is it since you collected the dole.
    1. there is no dole office.
    2. if you don't have a bank account for them to put it in, you don't get it.

Hey Gumby, if you don't want any yocals to know your a mexican, remember not to drink any water from the toilet bowl. We've heard mexicans do that. Theres plenty of water here, honest. We also have rain.
If Port Drugless, I mean Douglas, gets a bit boring, don't forget to check out the exciting Mossvegas, ahh, I mean Mossman ( http://www.mossvegas.com ) for some excitement. (But not after 5pm or on weekends, when its closed)
I'm off to Port tomorrow actualy. I suppose I should warn them your coming.
You'll have a good time here, theres plenty to do and see, just make sure you get out of Port, and just use it as your base and for afternoon drinks and dinner.
If you have any questions about the place, or what you'd like to do while your here, fire away and I'll see what I can find out.
