Cost so far
I have been on this board for a while and its been great.
I have a block in warburton Victoria
http://picasaweb.google.com/mullfitz?pli=1
its 2 and half acres, and have been looking at 1.kit homes2.,get a builder or 3 owner builder
The cost of the above
1. About 70k to lock up
2 About 140k to lock up
3 I have only started the process of cost but this is what I have got so far
Stumps bearers and joist fully installed using the mega anchor system 11k
All the frame truss made up ready to install 4k
Roof truss 3k
So thats 17k am I missing something but where is the major cost the outside of the house will be colorbond so lets say 10k
Am I being realistic thinking I can build a house to lock up for 50k

Can't help you with cost, but when you showed that link in the other thread I though the fauna looked familiar. It's because it's in Warbie .
Where abouts is your block, if you don't mind me asking. I am up off Woods Points rd in the estate where Whitegums rd is.Cheers

You probably want to allow contingency ... and you will need to allow for roofer, windows & doors, hire of some equipment possibly? But potentially you can do it fairly cheap if you don't charge for your labour.
