Finishing Raw Wood for Reptiles
Ok, considered oils and varnishes, but I am having too much fun sanding this big hunk of wood that is going to end up in a terrarium with lizards.
I checked out the U-Beaut site, and was wondering if sanding, sealing, sanding, traditional wax would be the way to go. From what I can figure, it would look great and the lizards wouldn't die of toxins every time the cage heated up.
what do you all think?

you couldn't go wrong with shelac and wax.
nothing there that a snake wouldnt end up eating (directly or indirectly) anyway.
cheersAny thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.
