    Default Lighting Design

    Hi All

Does anyone have any links to lighting design guides? I'm sure there must be some documents or websites out there that allow your to work out the required quantity of downlights / incandecent lights required for a certain room size / celing height etc.?

    Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Philips lighting section has a program called Calculux. Try going to the Philips web site (www.philips.com) and go to the lighting section. I thing you will have to register as a member to get access to the download area. It has been a while since I used Calculux but I recall it was quite a good program. It gives you a light intensity map at whatever plane you like in your room. It also has a catalogue of the various Philips light fixtures built in.

You will need to do a bit of background reading to determine what light levels you are trying to achieve.
