sealing up waste pipe
under instruction from SWMBO the laundry was not in the "right place" and HAD to be moved. task dutifully completed by superman here. left with the redundant (smelly) trough waste drain pipe (~50mm diam) sticking out of the slab.
any smart ideas how to best permanently seal this up as i'll need to tile over soonish?
seems a simple question but getting it wrong would be messy and $$'s ....

There is a home reno section to this forum a bit further down the page with a plumbing bit in it.
My suggestion in the meantime though would be to chisel concrete around pipe and cut it below surface ( with a hack blade) , then glue on a cap( I think you can get a 50mm cap) and then concrete hole back flush.
May be better ideas at above."World's oldest kid"
