Default How to stain Vic Ash to match spotted gum?

    Hi,
I've just installed a new set of stairs made of Vic Ash. Can anyone advise how to stain Vic Ash to match colours similar to spotted gum floors? A few woodworkers have advised against staining as spotted gum colours are difficult to replicate. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    I agree.

Bream, just let it age naturally. If you try staining it you will get wear patches on the treads that will look far worse in later years.
