chimney repairs advice please
Hi i have two very old chimneys that have a heritage overlay on them. and can not be pulled down, the chimneys are sound but the 2 extenal stacks need new repointing new mouldings and rendering. Does any one know who specialises in renovating chimneys, i live in the inner west of melbourne .

How high are they?
I did plenty of repointing of old brickwork in a previous life in England.

Yep I still do repointing, it all depends on the access of the job, height, scaffold etc..

Hi the house is a double fronted vic the stacks would be a 1.2 mts high from the top point of the roof

Sounds as thought you will need scaffold then.
I can and come and have a look if you are interested.
Maybe start by getting some quotes off scaffolding mobs.
Scaffold will be the biggest killer as far as cost goes.

Al .You will need scaffold. Also we are going to leave the existing old tin roof on the house and repalce it when the chimney work is done.
