removal of bird mess
anybody got any suggestions for removal of the white stain bird sh@t leaves on wood, that doesnt involve removal of any wood.
I have burls left upside down (in hindsight a mistake) in my wood drying shed and on a couple birds have shat on them. Havent worried about it till now but as I now have work in a gallery I need to be more conscious of my finish! Have tried using water and a cloth but the mark remains............helpprove how bored u really are, ..... visit....... http://burlsburlsburls.freespaces.com/ my humble website

a stiff hose if you are game might shift it.
I'd be alittle concerned about the chemical reactions & stains.
surely you would sort it with a scraper once on the lathe.
