Does any one know where I can get an oil based wiping stain in Vic?

Sorry to ask a silly question. I have just learned that "wiping stain" is just normal stain. I found the term on an American website and thought it was something special that I absolutely had to have.

Well now Arch, there is such a thing as a gel stain which sits on the surface rather than soaks in. Perhaps that it what was referred to?
Cheers,

Bob,
I've looked into the gel stain but I am now pretty certain that it is a simple everyday stain. Mind you, I would be happy to use an oil based gel stain, but I can't seem to source that either.
