Bakelite Fittings
Hi,
Can anyone shed some light on whether bakelite fittings (especially plugs on 3 phase equipment) are illegal in Victoria or not?.

Bakelite is old 1950/60's gear, just for peace of mind I would be changing them if it was on my equipment.
It also means the chord is that old crumbly rubber too.

Unfortunately the equipment in question are at my workplace not my house
. I have written to the appropriate Government department this afternoon to find out whether they should be replaced?.
