I bet at this point the mods are pulling their hair out. (if they have any)
Who would want to be a mod????

Waldo. I subscribe to the Friday thread and read most of it. I think some of it is funny.

I was suggesting a method to hide it from the majority of people who object.

What about a drivel section like open slather with an open password (drivel) for those who wish to be involved.
That keeps it hidden from those who don't like it.

    G'day David,

No worries, I understand where you were coming from and that you are part of Friday Drivel. I just don't like the idea of it being part of Open Slather. If it were like Open Slather with a p/word but not within Open Slather I'd be up for that.
I make things, I just take a long time.

Why are people having a problem accepting the idea that you can have a friday drivel thread in the nothing to do with woodwork! Keep the drivel to that one thread once a week and if you don't want to know about it don't read it!
Have a nice day - Cheers

    G'day Woodbutcher,

Dunno . My concern is that comments only relating to woodwork will be tolerated and nothing else. e.g what would happen in the future if this were to happen?

Just using it as an example, it contains what might be termed drivel, it contains a bit of fun and the posts aren't on topic. This thread by no means offends me, it's what makes this Forum great.

    End this thread Here

We have a Friday thread and 99.9% of us know what sort of humour is allowed (if you dont read some of Gumby's posts) I am sure the Mods will let the 0.1% know.

And so the drivel begins, and so this thread ends.

Waldo, let it go. Let the mods worry about what is drivel or not. As a last word, in that thread I would call it more of friendly banter and yes that is the sort of thing that makes this forum great. If a post is deemed be a consensus of the mods to be drivel it will be deleted - end of story. Can I think of an example - no, but that is our problem not yours!
Have a nice day - Cheers
