Air con calculations
We're going to put in a split system air-con system.
How do we work out the HP required? Is that floor area or total volume of the house? Can any one recommend a good system?

Hi
The manufacture' have guides published with their units for normal areas sited each way and with or without insulation
Unless you have a particular need they appear to be reasonably acurate, get one in the middle of its square area range if you can.
Be aware some are speced to 46 degree and some to the japanese spec of 42 degrees I believe
