How bizarre. Go to a health retreat to gain weight, lose brain cells, damage your liver and end up smelling like a brewery ...
........sounds OK to me

Frothy Baths Go Down Well

Article from:
FOSTER'S may need to reassess the potential of its beer assets. While the global brewer is increasingly focussed on the expansion of its wine portfolio, there may be some hidden growth remaining in beer.
A Czech Republic brewery increased revenue by a third last year by getting its customers to bathe in beer as well as drink it. That sounds like the sort of idea that might be welcomed by many beer-loving Aussies.
The Chodovar brewery in Chodova Plana found sales jumped by around $8.7 million when it opened its beer spa, restaurant and accommodation complex in 2006.
Manager Mojmir Prokes said the number of tourists had far exceeded expectations.
"We did not expect such a success," Prokes told Bloomberg. "After a year, we see that there is plenty of interest for the baths and the health benefits they bring."
Many of the customers are foreign tourists but the beer baths combine two very popular Czech pastimes – health spas and beer. Czechs are the world's biggest beer consumers per capita and the Chodovar baths are close to the western spa resorts of Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne. Prokes, who runs the baths for the owner, the Plevka family, said they are now adding three new treatments in May, including warm body wraps in vitamin-rich brewer's grains and body massages. At the same time, the brewery will increase its capacity to 120 beds from 89.
