Yep, you're not wrong. I had a day out, once in a lifetime. I got to see how 'the other half' of society live.
No cash ever changed hands, yet if you were to pay for everything I experienced that day I'm guessing it would have been around $1000.
Entered the track through the front gates and was then chauffeured around in golf buggy's to the corporate box and then to the restaurant on the lake for lunch. Sat on a table next to the likes of F1 champ Alan Jones, Dougie Hawkins, Sammy.....I could go on
Felt pretty guilty driving past everyone as they were walking.
Free Belgian beer, wine, champagne and spirits, and the seats weren't seats, it was more like an out door bar with tables etc and undercover....as well as being very close to the slowest corner on the inside of the track.
However, at the end of the day when the clock struck 5, I returned to my pleb status and had to walk out of the track.I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
