What do ya do in Cronulla
The boss has sprung two days of training Thursday and Friday next week in Cronulla and was wondering (other than start a riot) what can I do with my spare time there. Wife was saying I should stay for saturday also and see what's about. So... How far is it from Sydney by train... Got any ideas...

There is certainly some great beachs there. Spent a lot of my surfing days in Cronulla. Train service all the way from Sydney to Cronulla. About an hour from Sydney by train. I say from Sydney but Cronulla is actually part of Sydney.
It has probably changed a bit since I was there, it's over 35 years since I was there.

I'd say if you've never been to Sydney, get on a train to Circular Quay, have a look at the Opera House/Botanical Gardens, the Art Gallery is not too far from there either if you're into that. On the other side of the Quay you can have a look at The Rocks (do a tour if you are that way inclined) lot's of old colonial history and plenty of pubs. You could easily kill a day doing that.
Not much at Cronulla other than the beach.

A ferry trip from cicular quay up to Parramatta is also a good way to see a lot of the city, or a ferry to Manly and then a stroll down the Corso.
