FTP question.

I have an FTP program and can upload files to my website but how do I point a link to the file on the site.

Where should I save the uploaded file, is there a special spot to save a FTP file?

The file is a Google sketchup file.

I know how to make the link etc, I just cant get the file to show.

Replace the [ with < and the ] with >
