    Talking coffie table finish advice

Hi, i have a coffie table (top ,legs made out of jarrah, rails spotted gum) thats been finished useing organoil's hard burnishing oil. I've used this product before, with great results, although this time the finnish is just real crap. ( i think the oil might have been past its use by date) it was finnished back in nov last year.
 can i sand back and use hard shellak, (worried that this would take alot of timber of as the oil has soaked into the jarrah ) or just lightly sand and refinish with something like tung oil.
    any advice would be great.

Rub it back smooth, then apply oil. Most people rub it in with fine wet and dry.
