Concrete Cutting
Hi, I'm new here. Great forum.
I'm planning to widen my driveway (4 years old, 100mm thick, reinforced) and will need to have it cut in a few places. Does anyone have any idea of a reasonable price per metre by a concrete cutting contractor to cut this stuff?
Thanks for any help.

I can't help you with a price for someone to come and cut it for you, but I did hire a concrete cutter (over size grinder) to widen my drive. Cost about $150 including buying a blade, for a weekend and did the job in under half an hour! Took a bit of practice to get the cut looking good, so you might want to practice on the bits you're cutting up.
I use Instant Hire at Bowen Hills cos they do a weekend for the price of a day, and Derek always gives me a 'trade' discount.

We pay a start up cost of $50,plus around $15 per metre, but we are regular customers and get a better rate than you would ringing off the street.
Kennards hire small road saws, and demo saws on a trolley which are probably good enough for your task
