Out products may be called U-Beaut but everyone who uses them will tell you their really SHITHOT.

So why UBEAUT? Because I am of course.......... well, at least I reckon I am.

    Very modest too.
    Neil,
probably just as well though, seeing you're "U" and Pauline is "Beaut" does this mean that if you'd managed to register your original choice you'd be "S**t" and Pauline would be "Hot"?

JMK89 - having worked as a solicitor in major law firms for many years, you get given initials or a number to use for an identifier on your letters and other workproduct. Overtime people refer to each other this way. I flipped and flopped between jmk and 89 and so people got tired of remembering which it was and just called me JMK89 and it stuck

SHITHOT pronounced She tho or Shith oh (the T is silent) is a trade name just like FCUK (French Connection United Kingdom) is a trade name and as such can be used in these forums.

Why did I decide to call it Shithot? Because I gave out a dozen sticks to my students some 20 odd years ago and said give it a try and tell me what you think..... The overwhelming reply was "It's shithot stuff".

    Mine is real easy!

When I was in the Air Force, surnames were used everywhere! I was just Probert! That's all anyone called you. But with your mates there was always a nickname. Splatt rhymes with Matt and I had a tendency to succumb to the forces of gravity at inopportune times, then hence MattSplatt or just plane (mispell intended) Splatt!

I have allways liked sharp cutting tools and I was given my first pocket knife at the age of 12, a Henry Boker, to cut it short ... if it does not shave it is not sharp ... Sharpasaknife... and yes my hand plane blades can give do a bikini line.

When I first decided to make some furniture, swmbo asked "What are you going to make?"

Then I bought a heap of silver wattle and some black wattle really cheap.

    So the name seemed appropiate...
