Japanese Mud Grain Filler
Here are some photos of TONOKO and its application.
Tonoko is a very fine mud powder that is mixed with water, rubbed on by hand and then rubbed off by a cloth.
Clean up is with water.Chinese proverb:
A peasant has to stand on a mountain with his mouth open for a long time before a roast duck will fly in.

Further oics
Drying time is about 30 minutes.
When finnished I spray with a sanding sealer or for a small job just use a cheap aerosol can of lacquer.
The wiped off powder goes back in the tray and is used again.
No gloves or mask is needed.

The Finished piece
The finished piece is a document box.
The inner tray is for passports and smaller stuff.
The bottom holds a legal folder for insurance policies etc.
