Spring open doors
I have been given these little springs that you fix in your cabinets so that you push the door and the door springs open i just have no idea how far in from the edge of the cabinet you fix them.
Does any one know anything about these?
Here is a pic of them anyway...Why didn't i choose shopping as a hobby like every other female....

with those it is better to fit them as close to the door opening (as far away from the hinge side )as possible ,also they should be fitted to the top of the cabinet not on any usable shelf ,the best way to work out how far to set them back from the front is to fully close them ,then see how far you have to compress the push piston for it to release , then add a couple of mill for wear and tear ,in some difficult situations i have used double sided tape and stuck them onto a shelf then it was only a matter of trial and error ,i guess you have finished the bathroom and have moved onto the kitchen ????

i was contacted by someone today to install a ikea kitchen ,i gave them the price to install the finished product but told him that i could only charge an hourly rate to put the cabinets together ,well the fuss he put on only reaffirmed my position that if you cant do it yourself then pay someone that can ,
but then again ,there are people out there that prey on the unsuspecting and for sake of a better word (naive) people.
sorry for the bathroom reno ,i got you confused with another person in another forum .
