Getting old's no fun, but it beats the alternative.

Pam & I gave up smoking June 29 1986 (midnight) after years of 20-a-day or a few more if we were out partying etc... We nearly killed each other but survived. I was crook for months, coughing up crap. Now I don't pat my pockets checking for lighter and smokes every time I stand up...

That whiskey is good for the hip Sheddie. I'm told it is turbo-ised if you take anti-histamines with it.... (which is not generally recommended) BIL has had 2 x replacements and he knows.

SWMBO never did smoke. I gave up the habit December of 1966.

The first week or so was H***

5 years later, I FINALLY didn't miss smoking

10 years later, I didn't want a cigarette after dinner

15 years later, I didn't want to sit in the smoking section of airplanes

20 years later, I no longer wanted a cigarette

25 years later, being down wind of a smoker was really anoying

30 years later, being in an elevator with someone who had just smoked outside was unbearable

It has been 40 years since I quit! Yes, DAMN IT, I QUIT!

Nicotine, the most addicitive substance on earth!

    Talking Getting old

You have all got it wrong!!!
The sign of old age is when you sit in your rocking chair and cannot get it started.
