    Default Superbowl XLI

Only in America. Superbowl XLI is being held in Miami at Dolphin Syadium Between the Colts and the Bears. Ok it is common news and easily obtained if you are interested; but what is not known is the little warnings that get passed around and here is one that pertains to the Superbowl.

MIAMI (AFP) -Miami civic officials are asking residents to time their trips to the bathroom during the Super Bowl because extra flushing at halftime can put added stress on the sewers.

The city said that to be on the safe side, people should stagger their trips to the bathroom because the so-called Halftime Flush could lead to clogs, worsen already leaky toilets and lower water pressure.

"It might make things a little easier on us if people go before halftime or shortly after," Frank Calderon, spokesman for the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department said in a news release on Tuesday.

It is estimated that at halftime of the Super Bowl, across the United States 90 million people will flush about 350 million gallons (1.3 billion liters) of water down the toilet at the same time.

It is equivalent to the amount of water that flows over Niagara Fallsevery 39 minutes.

Calderon isn't anticipating any big problems and said the city has boosted its clean water reserves.

But he did ask people to make sure they check their lavatories for leaks.

"Our sewer system is designed to handle more than the average capacity," he said. "People can go about their business as usual."

Now there is something to think about!

Hey Pete, how about going back into your post and editing out the weird tags. Sure, as a moderator, I could do it for you, but I kinda wanted to get some work done today

Sorry folks. Interesting how things get stuffed up by our illustrious use of Windows products.

    All better now.

    G'day,

If a game needs an offensive team and a defensive team, then they're nothin' but pussies. Like to see them play a game of League, actually I'd like to see the winning team play say the Broncos.

    to Gridiron.

They would only play the Broncos so at least they would have a chance because any other team would totally outclass them....

    G'day Doughboy,

Nah. You must be a Raiders supporter. They're a strong team, but the Broncos may not be consistant, but they always come through when it counts - must have something to do why they won the P/ship last year.

Is that why it's called the Super Bowl ?
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

When at Pearl Harbour years ago with the Navy (Oz) we challenged a Septic Marines gridiron team to a game of gridiron/thuggby. One half of each. Only stipulation was they couldn't wear their armour. We thought it would be a great giggle.

Wuzzes wouldn't do it with no armour.
