Forum Members - User Names
Looking through the Forums, I see members using amusing names and have wondered how they came up with them. Are they "nicknames" that have stuck, "petnames" from a partner, or just made up for the Forum.
Are any of the members willing to come forward and own up to their "Handle"
Unfortunately I am using my real name - I must be boring.

I've come clean on my name before, but can't find the post in the archives.
bitingmidge is not my real name.
My real name is Steven Midge.
I was once a draftsman renowned for my skills and particularly my high level of accuracy. I had a bag with my name S.Midge on it, and of course the office wits resorted to calling me "Smidge".
In time, out of deference to my skills, they began to refer to small units of measurements as "a smidge", and I soon became quite famous, having given my name to an actual unit of measurement.
It wasn't long before the press began hounding me, and the Paparazzi were staking out my house waiting for that one shot. Life became terribly tiresome, so to regain my anonymity, I changed my name to biting, and have thus far, lived happily ever after.
Cheers,
P

Where mine comes from is simple. I have an uncanny knack of being able to take a piece of wood and completely butcher it into useless chips.
Have a nice day - Cheers
