Default Fixing w/board to shs posts?

Just wondering what the best way to fix weatherboard to steel shs posts (75x75) is? A coil gun isnt going to go into the steel is it?

Flower head tek screws are specifically made for fixing FC sheeting to steel. The "flower" head cuts its way into the sheet to get the head close to flush. Not sure if they will fix into, say, a 5mm wall thickness post though. You may need to use some other profile tek screw.

Yes it will, depending on the gauge. My deck is Merbau on 2mm steel joists and I nailed it down with a coil nailer.

Also depends upon the nail you are using. Why nail it to the steel anyway. It would be easier to fix them to a stud fixed to the side of the column.

I used tech screws to fix 90 x 45mm studs to the sides of my steel column, 3.5mm wall thinkess. Very easy ... pack said they woul do up to 6mm thickness.
