That time of the year ..... operation time that is!
Well folks only one and a half hours to go till I go to hospital. The operation is scheduled for 4.00 pm but with Dr's and hospitals who knows..
Hopefully next time I am here I will be pain free and ready to contribute to the tax funded joke that is our government.
Catch you on the other side.

I'd like to add my best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

I know you have been planning this for a while. Hope all went well and you are back on your feet (and keyboard) in good time.

Thanks folks for the kind thoughts and well wishes.
I returned home last night fairly late and was well and truely shattered. I managed to get a couple hours sleep, albeit broken.
The operation I had was a percutaneous radiofrequency neurotomy. Basically they zapped all the nerves that terminate in four different cervical vertebrae. The Dr was very happy with the way the surgery went.
Today I feel 1000% better than last night but I can tell you I dont think I am up for a session in the shed yet. My neck feels like a giant pin cushion. It is very tight and 'heavy' but I expected as much this early after the operation. Dr told me if it was successful I will feel a difference within a week. So here is hoping.
I must say I am looking forward to swinging the leg over a motorbike again, and getting my hairy backside back in the shed to make something for my 5 month olds bedroom.
Aint life grand
