Do you have a Forum Cap yet?
How many memebs have "Woodwork Forum" caps? As you'll probably be aware I posted "who has how many" and found that I have posted more than I thought.
This tells me that I have too much time on my hands and should be putting my hands to other things like making the bookcases that we need at home .
It tells me that I share a passion for woodwork the same as the other members here. I find myself telling alot of people about this website when I work my second job. I use this site as a reference when explaining woodwork to people, I give it to people hoping that they too log on to look for information.
SO, I AM GOING TO BUY MYSELF A CAP TO SHOW I AM PROUD TO BE APART OF SUCH A GREAT THING.
I come here to find out information, to share the information that I have. I have only met a few people in the flesh from the forum but I'd like to think that I have changed the lives of the people here. Sometimes I have become hot headed and become cranky - therefore crapping some people off, for this I am sorry. I hope though, for the most part I have helped people in a way that they have been able to persue their passion of woodwork more easily after getting help from myself and the others here.
Please, if you are a member, when your local Working with Wood Show comes around - wear your cap. If you don't have a cap, buy one and show your support for the great website this is. After all, without the friends we make here, our woodwork would be pretty @&@& or bloody &$$*. My woodwork wouldn't be what it is now without the techniques I have learnt here.
Cheers and have a fruitful and productive year...

I've got one. But it hasn't improved my woodwork, so it must be a dud.

I have a foily, I wear it to dog fights & QCWA meetings.
I got thrown out of a folk festival for wearing it.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

At our local show I took both my Foily and local Turning club caps, as I knew certain people'd take it wrong if they spotted me wearing the "wrong" one. (Tis funny how some people care so much about such little things... but I gotta put up with 'em. )
Later in the day, as the ennui was setting in, I started confusing myself... got a few smart-#### comments from other club members when they saw me wearing the foily. Even though I'd just swapped caps!
It can be a right bugger trying to wear two hats. [sigh]

No, I don't have a forum cap.
Two reasons
1 The other day I clicked on Order Here and it gave me a choice between a Foily and a Non-Foily
This is not good marketing, as it confused me and a confused customer usually decides against it, which I did.
2 I have never seen one, not even at the last Working With Wood Show, but I must admit I don't walk around anywhere looking at what emblem/advertising people have on their cap. I only wear one because I am an old phart and need it to keep the sun off my thinly protected skull!
Just in case you were wondering mine says Sherwood Paints, given to me by a customer!
I will happily buy a forum cap if someone cares to explain the difference between the two. After all, if I am going to walk around with tribal markings, they have got to be the CORRECT tribal markings, my grandchildren have taught me THAT MUCH!
