Bathroom Paint Finish
What finish should I get for bathroom paint?
Should it be gloss, high gloss, something else? What is best.
We just got four liters of High Gloss, but I think it is the wrong finish.
Help!

Hi makka619
I always opt for satin finish hides imperfections in the plaster - do not like gloss, the dulux stuff with mould sheild for the bathroom.
I have some photos on this site I loaded yeaturday, have a look at the bathroom

In order of shine, the typical grades are:
Flat (unsuitable for a bath)
Eggshell
Satin
Semi-gloss
Gloss
High or ultra-high gloss
Any but flat will serve in the wet area, just depends on the look you like. As Celeste said, satin is a nice choice for walls. Skirting is typically gloss.Cheers,
Bob

Thanks Metal, I found that link before, but good for anyone else interested.
I think I might go with:
Dulux Wash & Wear 101 Advanced Semi Gloss
Moisture resistant and highly recommended for wet areas or areas frequently washed with cleaners and detergents like kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. AquaSmart technology and Dulux's stain resistance technology ensure surfaces are kept in perfect condition.
Mainly because I am painting in White, and I imagine the walls will need frequent cleaning.
Some pics so far for any sticky beaks:
(The brown cupboard I am going to paint in High Gloss, as I already have it.)
