Juliet Balcony help required ??
Hi guys, have aproblem with how to treat a juliet balcony on a skillion roof extension.
The extension is 7.1m long by 1.9 deep, with a 2.4 wide window and above that window is a juliet balcony that is also 2.4m wide and 1.9 deep.
Now if I put the joists for the balcony on the existing house plate (140/45) and then the rafters rest on the same plate where the balcony finishes (90/45), obviously the joists and the rafters finish at a different height because the balcony is a 1 in a 100 fall, and the rafters will be a 5 in a 100 fall. So the question is, is whether the top plate for the new extension goes all the way the whole length at the right height to match the rafter fall, and then packed up for the joists OR the 2.4m length of the balcony gets a seperate build and different top plate height?
any help appreciated greatly!

Mate, not trying to be rude, but I had a job trying to understand what you were saying - get your friend to read it and together resubmit with perhaps a diagram thumbnail
