AJ2007 Elmore Vic
Luverly spot, flat as a s### carters hat and hot as hell, yesterday was a fairly mild day for there, here are some of the camps and HQ's amongst other things.
Sheryl will add some I hope, and anyone else who may have been there.
Our Troop was made up of four different troops from different areas, a total of 45 scouts plus the leaders who volunteered for this, the scene was incredible and the activities appeared endless.
The kids all appeared tired but still had enough energy for'just one more'.
Our daughter was one of the lucky ones who got to go flying, they had a fleet of aircraft and a helicopter to take about 60% of them up, it was a lottery type arrangement to get a flight so not all got in.
Buses to ship them all to Echuca, Nagambie, Bendigo andf wherever any other offsite activities where being conducted.
Scouts came from all over the Country as well as USA, Canada, Malaysia, Vietnam, Queensland( )UK, that was the ones I saw.
A real eye opener and a credit to the organisers.
Below, our troop dining room, entry, couple of ours having a bludge, my daughter playing volleyball, the washing machine.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Sorry to disappoint you Iain.
We had a cool change and spot of rain while you were there.
The real "hot as hell" starts tomorrow unfortunately.
Anyway; the beer was nice & cold just up the road.

I think Sunday was the BEST weather possible for Elmore in January - on Saturday they had to close some activities down from the storm activity and Monday was hot again. Here are some pics of mine - showing the cub scouts preparing for their parade, and a couple of activities they involved themselves in at great expense to the management - using "Elmoola" (freebie Jamboree money - a competition is run to see who can get the most from the visitors) to pay for the activities.
