Brushable Sanding Sealer Or Undercoat
I'm looking for a very easy to sand brushable sanding sealer or undercoat.
Doesn't have to be clear.
Something thats as easy to sand as lacquer sanding sealer or gesso.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please

Bob,
just wondering why it needs to be brushable (ie: why can't you spray it?). I don't thnk anything comes near nitrocellulose lacquer and sanding sealer for ease of sanding and especially for not clogging your abrasives. Unless there's something else out there that comes close (maybe shellac?) I'd be looking at using nitrocellulose thinned with a retarder rather than a thinner.

I haven't replaced my compressor yet Mick.
I'm hunting down my turbine HVLP
(I think the turbine and hoses are lost somewhere in the crap inside my cnc router - though I have found the guns)
The other problem is out here in the sticks lacquers are real hard to find and that might mean a 5 hour return trip to get some.

I'm a big fan of the wattyl Sandseal , no good under 2 pac finishes though , but its easy to apply brush or spray and does a good job, sands easily to a great finish .

You might find that www.thewoodsmith.com.au still sends n/c sanding sealer via the mail.
If they do, cut it about one part thinners to three of the goo. Maybe more depending on temp and wood density.Cheers, Ern
