Temporary benchtop
Got a quote for Caesar Stone benchtops = 5800. Can't afford just yet so I knocked up a temp one out of 32mm thick HMR particle board. It'll have twin Smeg underbench mount sinks. I'm going to put a couple of coats of MArine Spar Varnish around the inside edges of the cutout to prevent swelling when wet hopefully.
I've edged it in Masara 32mm x 19mm ripped down from a piece of decking that was too distorted to use on the deck. It's had 2 coats of sanding sealer and i'll finish it with a couple of gloss coats of something or other.
Like I say just temp.If you never made a mistake, you never made anything!

Ps. I have also resorted to MDF temporary tops but not as flash as yours. Should not be too long for my permanent tops to be ordered.
