Thumbs up Customer Service Rap - Hare & Forbes

I bought a thicknesser from Hare & Forbes Sydney last year. I noticed on the weekend that one of the magnetic gadgets used for aligning the blade was missing its magnet. I rang yesterday afternoon and spoke to George (I think) in spare parts and a new one turned up today by express courier.

I know that it's covered by warranty and so no skin off their financial nose but I was impressed with the rapid service.

    Thumbs up

    Likewise for Carbatec,

Drove down to C/T Melbourne yesterday (a 3 hr trip) to pick up a MC900 lathe at a really good price ($319) Annoyed the living hell out of the bloke with Q's about this saw table and that bandsaw etc. Answered all Q's with patience and then gave me a discount on a heap of blanks I bought. Saved a small fortune for me, made a return customer of me too when I start buying biger things.

Is there anything easier done than said?
