Bit Smoky Today
Its a bit smoky today in the southwest.
We've missed most of the smoke from the bushfires as the prevailing winds generally keep it away from us.
Could even smell it this morning though its obviously from very far away as it doesn't have the burnt gumleaf odor typical of a relatively close bushfire.
So I checked the CFA website to see if theres any close fires,
I do this regularly in the fire season as I like as much warning of problems as possible
Only a found structure fire (regarded as safe) about 10km west of us.
And a grass fire about 60 or so km north west. (Though this is where the Ash Wednesday fires came from)

Ditto, here in the SE suburbs.
'Twas so thick that when standing on the service road the other side of the highway was hazy; if it wasn't for the heat I'd have called it fog.

Clear thismorning but driving with headlights on yesterday.
Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.
