The Official Boxing Day Test Thread
OK, I have three days online to find out all about what's going to happen.
What are the odds of a day or two of rain?
Will Melbourne be the place where Freddy's fearless fighters finally find form?
Or will rain in this redundant rubber restrict a result?
Cheers,
P

Apparently the bookies are now pulling for the Poms, as they face 10-1 pay outs for a sweep.
Cheers,
Bob

Now that the urn is in it's rightful place, we can just enjoy the cricket. Anyone who wants more satisfaction, just peruse the English online newspapers. They're really trying to hint at the "ugly Aussie" thing. I love it.

Considering Australia's previous lack of performance in dead rubbers, we should be in for a nice and close game.

I saw the front page of a Pommie rag and it said
''' Perthetic Performance '''
It was an article about their own team!

We're expecting four seasons in one day, rain with sunny patches followed by sun with rainy patches. Should get a goodly amount of play though. Top temp will be about 19C.

Alpine Vic got snow yesterday. Pictures in the paper can you believe it? SO we don't have to have the Melb Test Rained out.
The Pommy team has some decent players. Been outclassed this time but give them a few years and they will be a tougher proposition. You would hope they learn something like when Pontings men were starting their bowling in Perth they were so hard at it, tight and mean in the field because they new they had to be because they didn't have that much of a score.
