I've no sympathy for you IT guru's Silent....
after 30 minutes on hold on the helpdesk "hotline", I'm gonna give you a hard time as well as get my box fixed!

You'd wait more than 30 minutes to get any help from me with your box, I don't do tech support

Our clients are builders. You should try working with them. They have this deeply entrenched herd mentality coupled with an ability to imagine that you are lying in a banana lounge with a martini just waiting for them to call. This means that ten of them will call at once insisting that you do their desperately urgent job yesterday.
The funny thing is, they keep producing a plethora of excuses for why the job has now become urgent, which you ignore and filter as: "he forgot it".
What we've discovered is that when the pressure bulids up to an intensity so complex and deep and life threatening that you feel like you're going to explode, all you have to do is turn the phone off and it all goes away. When you turn the phones back on the next day, there it all is again, just like a radio:
"Hello, it's John here from Bingle Homes, I've got a bit of a problem ...."
