Well done Dan, and I guess Mrs P. I'm sure the girls will learn to love him just as my older two sisters didn't.

    Hi again,

    Thanks for the kind wishes.

Mum and Jake are now home. The girls are getting used to his existence and as yet have not tried to 'off' him by feeding him something (we are expecting it though).

As far as his arm goes, it'll only be a disability if he wants it to be. If we treat him as if he's disabled, he'll behave that way. As far as were concerned, he'll never know anything different and will learn to use it as does a baby with completely normal arms. He still has function in it so we can't see it being a huge issue.

We expect to see a hand specialist at some time in the future who will give an indication if anything can be done.

    Dan

BTW. The Obstetrician has done some research and found a name for the condition. He googled it and came up with nothing at all. It's obviously fairly rare.
Is there anything easier done than said?

I can picture the nursery, little blue and red flashing lights on the cot, blue and white check along the side, kiddy cuffs etc.
Does he have a rank yet
Congrats to the both of you.

oh mate gummy arm or not he is just gorgeous. I went to school with a little girl that had her wrist for her ankles and he ankles were her wrists. IT did not stop her one bit. Today they can do amazing things, you wait and see won't be long that little arm will clobber you. He is just divine. Pretty boy must take after mum hey?? LOL no congratulations

Dan and Mrs P, well done. A new addition in the house is always wonderful.

I think he will need some good tools for being so special - start buying them for him now mate.
