Best not get too cocky. We've still got to score the runs. However few they end up being.

isn't cricket a funny old game
5/78 can you believe that? 116 lead but they have the runs on the board so what would you think about that? There for both sides to win at the moment

I think there's a difference between cockiness and excitement, and this is after all what test match cricket is all about; the swinging pendulum.
At five fa, there is still a long way to go as well, and already barely enough overs for a side batting last to get the runs on the board.
England are still in a position where a draw is the best outcome for them, they are now batting to save the match. Hoggard could be knighted if he stays in for an hour this afternoon.

I'm still picking the draw but the Poms confidence for Perth must be in tatters.

I'll back Australia for the win. Whatever happens, it's going to be a good last session.
At least it should make up for the tedium of the previous four days.

Studley,
I don’t see why they should risk it.
England gets 250-300 by 2.30pm (11 to 2.30 – break = 3 hours)
Australia chases 300 (2.30 to 7.00 ?? = 4.5 hours)
Doesn’t sound like a smart move does it?
A draw is the best possible outcome for them.
And remember Balsa is the softest hardwood.Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com
