Brisbane and the Gold Coast are at their worst today. I don't know what the temp is but it's hellishly hot and smokey and hazy and when you drive you hope you don't break down because you would have to get out of the air conditioning and ... I could go on ... Brisbane at it's worse.

I miss the cicadas here. We never hear any. There are plenty of sirens though.
Indian Summer then. 20's here (Dunedin) but violent Westerlies. Splatters of rain but gone before they hit the ground. Ahhhh England: Pint of Pride please - OK Directors - that'll be good..

Just got home and the outside temperature sensor says its still 36º in the shade (4.30pm Queensland stupid bloody standard time). Could you imagine how hot it would be if we went to daylight savings

And I hd to pick yesterday and today to replacea side fence

Radar says the storm might just get us, fingers crossed for some rain.

    Cheers

Ahhh memories. I used to maintain the WF44 Weather Radar at RAAF Butterworth. Would ask the met officer the forcast and he would look out the window and say what he saw
