Does screed needed for the bathroom floor?
Hi all, I am a new user here and found that this forum is very helpful. I am doing the bathroom renovation and wondering if I need to screed the floor before the tiling? Can I just lay the tiles on the new concrete floor? I understand that I do need to screed the shower area for the fall. I assumed that the waterproof membrance is apply on the screed before the tile?
Thanks for your advise.

Subject to contradiction by those more expert, I think the membrane goes below the screed.

I found out recently that it's not mandatory to have a floor waste in a bathroom, although I'd always put one in if it was me. To get it to work properly, you really need fall into it, so yes, you would need a screed. If no floor waste, then you probably don't need it.
The membrane goes in first, then the screed.
