    Default Fixing decking without nails

Has anyone used the little cleats that screw into the side of joists and are banged into the side of decking boards? This allows you to fix decking without screws/nails

There was a bloke on ABC Inventors who created something called Dektrac. However there is already a little cleat on the market. I was just wondering how solid it is, does it move much, does it do its job?

    Cheers

I haven't yet rebuilt my deck. But that Dektrac system looks quite complicated. When/if I rebuild my deck, I'll very seriously consider "Tiger Claws." Seems a lot simpler.

    Namtrak,
    see here:

really neat finish and if I was building a deck for myself I'd use them. If I was doing a job for a cleint I'd think twice because they're so labour intensive.

Thanks guys, have you heard how the decks have held up? Are they still solid?
