    Is anyone familiar with the NSW standards re thickness/type of glass you can use in windows and doors ?

    Have a look here, standards are Oz wide not state to state.

    No idea on the glass thing though.

    FWIW, having just gone through the process of buying windows - doors seem to require either 5mm toughened safety glass or 6.38mm laminated glass. The bigger the glass area though, the thicker it gets, for example a fixed pane of 6.38 goes to 8.38 requred at 3m^2. Just to complicate things I think the standards are different between a hinged door and a sliding door.

    Corinthian's glazed timber doors have 6.38 in them BTW or 5mm Toughenmed
