    We was so poor that:

Cousin in NZ couldn't afford gloves & had to have a sheep in each pocket to keep hands warm.

Couldn't afford heating - Dad sucked a peppermint & we all sat round his tongue.

Only had a handfull of hot gravel for breakfast.

Peppermint! Luxury. Mum used to feed us dried apples for breakfast, a glass of water for lunch, and for dinner we'd just sit around and swell up.

My sister was so skinny as a teen she had to run around in the shower to get wet!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonay in one hand - Strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming - "WOO WOO...What a ride"

Luxury for all of you. Sheer luxury.
I had to sleep in Tonga to be able to go over the International Date Line to do yesterday's work every day and would be brought back for the 40 minutes of my weekends off. But I was lucky!!!!!!!!!!
I could have been a LUMBERJACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
