    Default Old Floorboards

Ripped up the vinyl and masonite off the floor of our laundry, which we are turning into a dining room. 1950's weatherboard, 108mm wide tassie oak boards.

Apart from the one or three boards that need replacing due to years of water damage, all the board seem to rise at their edges, giving a somewhat scalloped effect at the joins.

Is this normal and would sanding solve the problem?

Old floor boards are often cupped, but sanding will flatten it out without any problems.
