Oddities!
Some interesting but cool facts...
A crocodiles tongue is connected to the roof of its mouth.
A kangaroo can't hop unless its tail is touching the ground.
A shark can regrow a new set of teeth in one week.
A whales heart only beats nine time per minute.
A starfish can turn itself inside out.
Anyone have anymore?????

Women can't BBQ steaks
(Pilot to crew..shields UP !)If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Perhaps not an oddity but it's an interesting fact. Scientific tests have proven that the ability to use a BBQ is attached to the Y chromosome.
It's like finding stuff in drawers. That's an X chromosome skill so women can do it twice as well as men because they get 2 of them.
Loading dishwashers isn't attached to either. They just can't do it properly 'cos they's women. If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Here's a less contentious one
On average, human beings (of whatever chromosonal content) have fewer than two legs.Driver of the Forums

Here's a more contentious one (tested at many a barbecue and found to be generally true)
Most blokes - no matter where they find themselves, can instinctively and relatively accurately point North.
Most women can't.
It's got to do with the difference between hunter/gatherers and nest-builders, apparently.Driver of the Forums

Not true.
When I am asked to point out north, I do so and am abruptly told that I am incorrect by the usual company that asks.
That being Mrs. Schtoo, Mrs. Schtoo's sister and Mrs. Schtoo's mother.
3 against 1 means I am wrong, right?
(No comment about finding fundamental orifices using pictures of landmasses and magnetic direction finding equipment is mentioned either, of course. )
