Gluing/Nailing Floating Flooring
Noting that floating floor is supposed to be exactly that, floating, and it's floating to allow it to expand and contract and generally move around. Has anyone had any experience with gluing or nailing a floating floor directly onto a yellow tounge deck. Some floating floors are considerably cheaper than overlay flooring
I am considering this approach as I would like to lay an entire meals, kitchen and hall area (40m2) and then put in the kitchen cupboards on top. I'd prefer not to cut around the kitchen cupboards. If small gaps appeared it would not worry me, but I am concerned about the boards cupping up or somehow distorting due to the kitchen benches sitting on them. My only other concern is the suitability of laminates and veneers in the kitchen (water spills).
Any advice or experiences would be most welcome.
